Product Description

Optical fiber is the abbreviation of optical fiber, a waveguide medium that transmits light energy. It consists of a concentric cylindrical structure composed of a core and a cladding. The core and cladding are made of transparent dielectric materials, whose refractive indices are n1 and n2 respectively. The necessary condition for forming an optical fiber is n1>n2. Using fiber optics to transmit light can make optical measurement systems more flexible and modular. There are many materials used to make optical fibers, such as plastic, glass and silicon dioxide (SiO2). The high-quality optical fiber used in the spectrometer is made of synthetic fused silica (amorphous silica) as raw material, and the optical properties of the glass are adjusted by adding rare elements.

GIE-IF600 series immersion fiber optic probe adopts Y-shaped fiber structure, and the core diameter/number of cores/length/connector type, etc. can be customized according to actual needs. The probe end adopts a specially designed reflective head, which can be used as a small cuvette for instant sampling of liquids. This series of probes are usually used together with a spectrometer and a light source, and are often used to instantly measure the absorbance of liquids in water quality or biochemical online testing.

Quartz double-clad optical fiber uses quartz material as the optical core layer, fluorine-doped quartz material as the optical skin layer, and is coated with a resin coating layer to ensure the strength of the fiber. If necessary, it can also be coated with an outer sheath layer.
